Running Inspiration

Complete the run <3

Running away will never set you free…

You are strong. You are fast. You will finish.

This is my self mantra while I run. I may not be fast, I may not be consistant, but I run.

In the last few years I have picked up running for fitness reasons, last year I ran my first ever relay race for the Akron Maraton and I loved it! I could not wait to get signed up again this year.Tomorrow morning I will complete the 5.5 mile leg of the marathon relay race.

I never thought I could run, then I trained to run a half mile, I pushed myself to a whole mile, then two miles and so on and so forth. It doesn’t come naturally to everyone, but with persistance and hard work you can train to run too.

If you’re looking for some help on creating a training regimine there are a lot of really great websites devoted to helping the less active become runners in a 12 - 18 week program.

Here are some really great websites if you are interested in learning more about creating a training program:

Yoga Inspiration...

Practicing Kindness...

Since today the majority of my posts have been about yoga, I thought I would take a few seconds to discuss kindness.

When a yogi gets to their mat, it is often important to have a lesson in mind - what should I practice today?

Today when I get to my mat I will practice kindness, not only to those around me but to myself. It is important to let go of self doubt and the feeling that you aren’t good enough.

Be kind to yourself and see your light shine through. :-)

Just sharing some of the many benefits of yoga! Get to your mats and your happy place!
